About Rik Lawrence

Furniture Maker & California Contractor (License #704844)

“I have been crafting furniture and cabinet making since 1987.

I am inspired by the works of James Krenoff, George Nakashima, Art Carperter, and David J. Marks. I have a longtime love of wood; from constructing custom homes to crafting beautiful Asian inspired California Contemporary furniture.

All of my pieces are made of salvaged wood from California, Oregon and Washington State. I also use some Exotic woods, such as Koa and Mango, that are sourced from sustainable forests. I have a special interest in techniques for safe and healthy structures.

My pieces are built of solid wood with old style joinery to endure for generations.

Construction experienced in Victorian homes in San Francisco and Telluride, C.O.; Southwestern homes in Santa Fe, N.M. and Sonoma, C.A.; Contemporary homes in Marin County and Eugene, O.R.; and Mountain homes in Lake Tahoe, C.A.

I am a big-hearted spirit who loves to create.”
